The Heart Of The Mountain
Kurdu-abadaz, the Heart of the Mountain, is the symbol of the rightful ruler of the lost kingdom of Thorbadin. Entrusted to Bofin Oathkeeper after the death of his uncle, King Balgur Stonebeard, the weapon has passed down through the Garrunan Clan for over two millennia.
Weighing some 24 pounds, the Heart of the Mountain is a waraxe of immense proportions and unparalleled artistry, a masterpiece of dwarven smithing. Forged of pure adamantine by the priests of Moradin, its silvery black surface is tinged with a faint red lustre, for it is said the axe channels the heat of Thorbadin’s fiery heart. In the hands of the rightful heir to Thorbadin, the weapon reveals its magical nature, growing warm to the touch and striking keener and truer than any normal blade. Legend tells that the ancient kings of Thorbadin could draw even greater power from the weapon, but no wielders in recent memory have possessed the strength to do so.
